Front-End Developer

IvySkin is an innovative industry endorsed accessories design house for handheld devices like the iPhone and iPad. Role

We're starting to build our technology team. We’re looking for an experienced front-end developer interested in contributing to the very early stages of a startup - where you will have a real impact on the business and technology. You will work with our engineering, product management, marketing, and creative teams to help deliver a great user experience across all aspects of IvySkin's digital presence. Working within a small agile development process, you will be bringing designs to life and help build new features across all areas of our product. You can expect to participate in all aspects of the product life-cycle. IvySkin is passionate about user experience and we continually seek to improve using both quantitative analysis and user studies.

  • 5+ years of web/software development experience
  • Expert HTML, CSS, and cross-browser layout skills and knowledge
  • Ability to implement rich client functionality with thorough knowledge of JavaScript, including standard frameworks (jQuery) and AJAX
  • Knowledge of PHP/object oriented programming
  • Comfortable working in a Unix environment
  • Experience working with SVN/source control
  • Experience in usability/interface design
  • Driven, flexible, self-starter with ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to deliver engineering tasks on time and with high quality
  • Passionate about working with new technologies and solving difficult technical problems.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or relevant field of study

Desired Qualifications

  • eCommerce experience, particularly with Magento, Endicia

Regional Sales Manager - Latin America

 We are looking for a high quality manager “in the field” to provide excellent personal service to our customers by leading strategy development and execution in the Latin America region.

Role

You will focus on developing a sales process to deliver IvySkin products to new markets specially in Brazil and Argentina while expanding the IvySkin Brand in existing markets.

•Manage and expand market share with current accounts and develop new accounts in the Latin American specially in Brazil and Argentina
•Collaborate in the development  and execution of a LATAM strategy that aligns the strategic sales objectives for that region
•Develop and maintain a volume forecasting methodology for the business that is inclusive of accurate and timely sell through data
•Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPI’s) for territory representatives that align with the strategic sales plan to deliver annual growth objectives
•Collaborate with the field marketing team to provide training and support for key accounts
•Provide weekly / monthly reports that summarize new project initiatives, progress toward goal achievement, sales forecasts, sales revenue, new projects, and various other business-related requests
•Build and maintain a high-performance regional sales team through strategic people resourcing and a comprehensive plan for training, competency development, & coaching and mentoring
•Collaborate with Marketing and Business Intelligence to develop and implement programs that motivate and incentivize field based teams to increase sales around promotions, holiday, and strategic retail merchandising
•Develop and implement regional travel plans for optimizing field sales activities, customer engagement, and controlling travel costs as good stewards of company resources

Required Qualifications

Building effective teams, communication skills, creativity, decision quality, managerial courage, passion for sales, time management and strategy management 
 
•Bilingual, English & Spanish
•Experience managing a LATAM region preferred
•5+ years’ experience in managing a field based sale team in various locations 
•Experience in the wireless industry and/or consumer product industry preferred
•Experience in retail sales

Design Engineer

We are looking for a very unique individual, someone with a solid engineering foundation combined with an appreciation and sensitivity for design. You must be very detail oriented without ever losing sight of the big picture. Good time management skills, flexibility and the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of development will be critical in our fast paced and rapidly evolving work environment. Common sense and a fundamental understanding of what works will be key components to your success. As a Design Engineer at IvySkin, you will;

Be a member of IvySkin’s engineering team, reporting directly to IvySkin’s head of product development

Work closely with our multi-disciplinary design staff to take ideas from initial conception all the way through to final production

  • Collaborate - assist the design team by participating in brainstorms and upcoming product launches
  • Inspire - share your knowledge and insights with IvySkin design staff and industrial buyers
  • Create - develop 2D and 3D content for prototypes, renderings, quotes, and final production
  • Assigns and manages parent community design team and test crew to ensure successful engagement.
  • Prototype - develop in-house mock-ups for design validation of both form and function.
  • Collaborates closely with marketing (blogs, publishing videos/projects), and inventory planning/ ops. Provides cross-functional department leadership and initiate process improvements across teams.

The ideal candidate has great initiative and operating range. Required skills and responsibilities:

  • 5 - 7 years product development experience.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • 8+ years of product design/development experience with demonstrated creative successes. Experience in mac products.
  • Ability to create complex surface models with Pro/Engineer.
  • Intuitive understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Draw upon inspiration from external sources as well as inspiration from experience. Think outside of the box, yet put yourself in customers’ shoes. Innovative thinking and creative problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical and problem solving skills. Always learning, testing, and iterating. Thrives with numbers and data.
  • Exceptional verbal and visual communication skills
  • Positive management and encouragement of the design team/community, yet able to give insightful, straight feedback that brings the product to the next level.
  • Unrelenting intellectual curiosity and pride in doing awesome work

Desired Qualifications

  • Design and technical Adobe Illustrator experience a plus.
